In just eight days, the Barcelona Dragons season begins with an inter-conference game in Stuttgart against Surge. One player to watch out for is defensive lineman Yago Rivero Van Stralendorff. The former LNFA Juniors sack leader for the Mallorca Voltors was part of the Spanish youth national team in the 2019 U19 European Championships. Rivero is considered an athlete with very good physical attributes but also good technical skills that can make him one of the best defensive lineman in the ELF in the future.

The 21-year-old not only answered our five quick questions for the graphic, but also the following three questions:

How would you describe the atmosphere in the team? Is anything different from 2021?

It’s certainly way better than last year, we already know each other and started the preseason as a family.

What kind of role do you see yourself in on the team?

I want to make plays to help my team get the W, learn from my teammates and be my best version on the field.

How strong do you think your Week 1 opponent Stuttgart Surge are and how do you prepare for them?

Stuttgart Surge is a great franchise, they put a lot of effort into recruiting and they have elite athletes like David Meza. It’s going to be a good game, I can’t wait to be on the field.

Thank you!
