English: Foot Bowl named Lars Steffen as their MVP of Week 1
Yesterday our eighth webshow of this year, the first during the ELF season, went online. Of course we also chose our MVP of the week. With the votes of Hendrik, Elias and Phil our award clearly went to Lars Steffen, Free Safety of the Panthers Wrocław. Steffen had already had a strong game with eleven tackles and three pass break-ups when he made the game deciding moment. With just seconds left in the game, William Lloyd forced a fumble against the Leipzig Kings with the score tied at 27-27. Steffen picked up the ball and carried it back for a touchdown – sealing the win for the Panthers. Not only was it Steffen’s first fumble return touchdown of his career (GFL, Maple League, ELF), but it proved how valuable he is to the team led by Head Coach Kuba Samel and Defensive Coordinator Dave Likins.

Gestern ging unsere achte Webshow dieses Jahres, die erste während der ELF-Saison, online. Natürlich kürten wir dabei auch unseren MVP der Woche. Mit den Stimmen von Hendrik, Elias und Phil ging unserer Award deutlich an Lars Steffen, Free Safety der Panthers Wrocław. Steffen hatte bereits ein starkes Spiel mit elf Tackles und drei Pass-Break-ups hinter sich gehabt, als er für den spielentscheidenden Moment sorgte. Nur wenige Sekunden vor Spielstand forcierte William Lloyd beim Spielstand von 27:27 einen Fumble gegen die Leipzig Kings. Steffen nahm den Ball auf und trug ihn zum Touchdown zurück – der Sieg für die Panthers war besiegelt. Nicht nur war es Steffens erster Fumble Return Touchdown seiner Karriere (GFL, Maple League, ELF), sondern bewies er damit, wie wertvoll er für das Team um Head Coach Kuba Samel und Defensive Coordinator Dave Likins ist.
