English: New OC for the Centurions
The Cologne Centurions sign Christos Lambropoulos as their new Offense Coordinator for the 2023 season. The 33-year-old native of Greece, who grew up in Australia, comes from the Saarland Hurricanes of the GFL. In 2021 he was GFL Coach of the year, leading the Saarland Hurricanes to their most successful season with a trip to the semifinals and a playoff win for the first time. His team was also the #4 ranked scoring offense in the league this past season.
His first stint as a head coach was with the Sutherland Seahawks U19s in New South Wales, Australia. He also served as the Offensive Coordinator for the Australian Outback National Team, among other roles. His first coaching stop in Germany was in Düsseldorf as OC of the Panther.
For Cologne’s General Manager David Drane, Lambropoulos is the perfect complement to Head Coach and Defense Coordinator Kahlil Carter: „Christos brings coaching experience in Europe and an aggressive offensive style to our team. He is well liked by his players and is also very knowledgeable about his strategy and style of play. We are pleased to have signed the former „GFL Coach of the Year“ and are convinced that he will help us a lot on our way to a successful season.“

Die Cologne Centurions verpflichten Christos Lambropoulos als neuen Offense Coordinator für die Saison 2023. Der 33-Jährige gebürtige Grieche, der in Australien aufwuchs, kommt von den Saarland Hurricanes aus der GFL. Im Jahr 2021 war er GFL Coach of the year, führte die Saarländer zu ihrer erfolgreichsten Saison mit Einzug ins Halbfinale und erstmals zu einem Playoff-Sieg. Auch in der abgelaufenen Saison war sein Team die #4 ranked scoring offense der Liga.
Seine erste Station als Headcoach war bei der U19 der Sutherland Seahawks im australischen New South Wales. Darüber hinaus war er u.a. als Offensive Coordinator des Australian Outback National Teams tätig. Seine erste Trainerstation in Deutschland war in Düsseldorf als Offensive Coordinator der Panther.
