English: Gabriel Sánchez is the new Dragons head coach
Gabriel Sánchez Acuña, better known as Coach ‚Black‘, is the new head coach of the Barcelona Dragons. The Mexican takes over the sports direction of the team’s coaching staff for the next three seasons. He is thus the successor of Andrew Weidinger, from whom the separation was made yesterday.
Gabriel ‚Black‘ Sánchez is a coach with a lot of experience. Last season he was already part of the Barcelona Dragons coaching staff as Defensive Coordinator and Secondary Coach. As such, he was an integral part of the Catalan team’s success in reaching the semifinals of the European League of Football this season. In the process, the Dragons put up the third-best defense in the league and were able to feature homegrowns like Alejandro Fernández and the Brugnani brothers. Prior to joining the franchise, Coach Black coached strong, Mexican teams such as the Pumas, Burros Blancos and TEC Campus Monterrey.

Gabriel Sánchez Acuña, besser bekannt als Coach ‚Black‘, ist der neue Cheftrainer der Barcelona Dragons. Der Mexikaner übernimmt die sportliche Leitung des Trainerstabs der Mannschaft für die kommenden drei Saisons. Er ist damit der Nachfolger von Andrew Weidinger, von dem gestern die Trennung erfolgt war.
Gabriel ‚Black‘ Sánchez ist ein Trainer mit viel Erfahrung. In der letzten Saison war er bereits als Defensive Coordinator und Defensive Backs Coach Teil des Trainerstabs der Barcelona Dragons. Damit war er ein wesentlicher Bestandteil des Erfolgs des katalanischen Teams, dass in dieser Saison das Halbfinale der European League of Football erreicht hat. Die Dragons stellten dabei die drittbeste Defense der Liga und konnten dabei auch Homegrowns wie Alejandro Fernández oder die Brugnani-Brüder in den Fokus rücken. Bevor er zum Franchise kam, trainierte Coach Black starke, mexikanische Teams wie die Pumas, Burros Blancos und TEC Campus Monterrey.
