Die Vienna Vikings gaben zuletzt zwei Neuzugänge für ihr Team in der European League of Football bekannt. Während mit Kende Ráthonyi ein ungarischer Running Back in die österreichische Hauptstadt wechselt, ist Wide Receiver Felix Reisacher in Wien bereits heimisch. Er kommt von den Danube Dragons.
Der 23-jährige Ráthonyi begann in der Jugend der Győr Sharks mit dem American Football. Zur Saison 2018 wurde der 1,84 Meter große Athlet in das Herrenteam aus der ungarischen Footballliga (HFL) aufgenommen. Im vergangenen Jahr erzielte er bei 70 Laufversuchen 299 Yards und drei Touchdowns für die Sharks. Zudem stand Ráthonyi bereits für die Fehérvár Enthroners auf dem Platz.

Mit Felix Reisacher stieß in dieser Offseason der zweite Athlet vom Stadtrivalen Danube Dragons zu den Vikings. Für Reisacher ist es bereits die dritte Station in Wien: Nachdem der Betriebswirtschaftler bei den Vienna Knights mit dem Football begonnen hatte, wechselte er 2016 zu den SsanYong Danube Dragons. Bei den Vikings wird er in seine zwölfte Football-Saison gehen.
Reisacher, der am 11. Juni 1994 geboren wurde und 1,87 Meter groß ist, besuchte als Achtzehnjähriger die Wilber Clatonia High School in Nebraska, wo er vorrangig als Kicker zum Einsatz kam. Nachdem er 2015 mit den Knights den Challenge Bowl XII gewann, wechselte er zur Saison 2016 zu den Danube Dragons. Seit 2018 kam er als Wide Receiver und Tight End in 30 AFL-Spielen zum Einsatz und fing dabei 110 Pässe für 1.752 Yards und 16 Touchdowns. Zuletzt war er im Kader Österreichs beim Spiel um Platz fünf der Europameisterschaft 2021.
